Diplômé avec mention de la \u003Cstrong>HEAD – Genève\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  dans le pôle peinture et dessin, il n'a depuis cessé de \u003Cstrong>peindre\u003C\u002Fstrong> et de\n  \u003Cstrong>dessiner\u003C\u002Fstrong>, en expérimentant différentes techniques et différents supports, et en\n  travaillant l'art de la \u003Cstrong>gestuelle\u003C\u002Fstrong> et de l'\u003Cstrong>improvisation\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Entre expressionnisme, surréalisme, bande dessinée et graffiti\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Son style, difficile à enfermer dans une catégorie, oscille entre l'\u003Cstrong>expressionnisme\u003C\u002Fstrong>, le\n  \u003Cstrong>surréalisme\u003C\u002Fstrong>, la \u003Cstrong>bande dessinée\u003C\u002Fstrong> et le \u003Cstrong>graffiti\u003C\u002Fstrong>, et\n  puise aussi dans la peinture du XX\u003Csup>e\u003C\u002Fsup> siècle. Ce qui fait vibrer ses œuvres doit sans doute\n  beaucoup à un mélange de cultures qui va de la calligraphie arabe aux graffitis des parkings. Par le\n  regard et par le trait, il explore sans restriction des zones plus larges que d'autres, avec une\n  remarquable capacité de cadrage, ou de décadrage. Il s'inspire de ce qu'il observe au quotidien, dans la\n  rue comme dans la forêt, et laisse ses émotions guider un instinct qu'il suit sans hésitation.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>De la rue à l'atelier\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Sur le chemin de l'atelier, tout peut devenir le point de départ d'une œuvre : la vitrine d'un opticien\n  où des lunettes flottent sur des ballons dans un décor de jungle, l'agencement d'un muret de briques,\n  un amas d'encombrants où il récupère un plateau de jeu de société qui lui servira de support. Soucieux\n  de réduire au maximum son impact sur l'environnement, il travaille avec des\n  \u003Cstrong>matériaux de récupération\u003C\u002Fstrong>. À l'atelier, il y applique toutes sortes de médiums, et sa\n  main trace des figures nées de ses impressions et de ses émotions, jusqu'à obtenir parfois\n  « une croûte sombre et épaisse, à l'expression ambiguë et la laideur assumée ». Il en résulte un art\n  authentique, plein d'\u003Cstrong>humour\u003C\u002Fstrong> et de dérision sans jamais être cynique, qui touche les\n  cœurs et éveille les consciences.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Parcours\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Hayan Kam Nakache expose principalement en Suisse et en France, dans des institutions et des espaces\n  d'art indépendants : à deux reprises au \u003Cstrong>Mamco\u003C\u002Fstrong> de Genève, au\n  \u003Cstrong>Fri-Art Kunsthalle\u003C\u002Fstrong> de Fribourg, qui a présenté une soixantaine de ses dessins, au\n  \u003Cstrong>CAN – Centre d'art Neuchâtel\u003C\u002Fstrong>, ainsi qu'à Bienne, à Bâle et à Vevey. A graduate with distinction of\n  \u003Cstrong>HEAD – Genève\u003C\u002Fstrong> in painting and drawing, he has never stopped \u003Cstrong>painting\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  and \u003Cstrong>drawing\u003C\u002Fstrong> since, experimenting with different techniques and supports and working on\n  the art of \u003Cstrong>gesture\u003C\u002Fstrong> and \u003Cstrong>improvisation\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Between Expressionism, Surrealism, Comics and Graffiti\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  His style, hard to pin down, oscillates between \u003Cstrong>expressionism\u003C\u002Fstrong>,\n  \u003Cstrong>surrealism\u003C\u002Fstrong>, \u003Cstrong>comics\u003C\u002Fstrong> and \u003Cstrong>graffiti\u003C\u002Fstrong>, and also draws on\n  20th-century painting. What makes his works vibrate no doubt owes much to a blend of cultures ranging\n  from Arabic calligraphy to car-park graffiti. Through his gaze and his line, he explores wider territory\n  than most, without restriction, with a remarkable sense of framing, or deliberate off-framing. He is\n  inspired by what he observes every day, in the street as in the forest, and lets his emotions guide an\n  instinct he follows without hesitation.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>From the Street to the Studio\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  On the way to the studio, anything can become the starting point of a work: an optician's window where\n  glasses float on balloons in a jungle setting, the arrangement of a brick wall, a pile of bulky waste\n  where he picks up a board-game board that will serve as his support. Keen to keep his impact on the\n  environment to a minimum, he works with \u003Cstrong>salvaged materials\u003C\u002Fstrong>. In the studio he applies\n  all kinds of media to them, and his hand traces figures born of his impressions and emotions, sometimes\n  until the surface becomes \"a dark, thick crust, ambiguous in expression and unapologetically ugly\".
